20 little feel good things.

0

Hi guys,

I was on tumblr this morning and I saw this post about things that make this one person's day a bit better, and I thought to myself about how I probably need to make a list of things that usually make my day a lot better.
It also occured to me that a few people around me are going through some things, and I cant exactly go through the things that might make them feel better because everyone is different. So if they read this and discover something that they think might help, then ive done something right for once, lol.

  1. Change your bedsheets, I know fresh sheets always makes me feel better.
  2. Go watch your favourite youtube video - these are mine (+) (+)
  3. Have a hot shower
  4. Do some washing, the smell of clean clothes always calms me down
  5. Go through old photos. Good memories usually overshadow bad memories.
  6. Eat a shit tonne of chocolate. Fact: Chocolate stimulates the release of endorphins, natural hormones produced by the brain, that generates feelings of pleasure and promotes a sense of well being.
  7. Watch a film that you know will make you feel better. I usually turn to Peter Pan or Dirty Dancing
  8. Write whats bugging you in a journal. Ive got a beautiful purple velvet notebook that I write my issues down in.
  9. Finish that book that you got half way through, although finishing book tends to make me sad, finishing it gives me a sense of accomplishment, especially when im busy with uni work.
  10. Go for coffee with a friend
  11. Text someone that you know cheers you up, ask them to tell you a joke or something
  12. I quite enjoy clearing out my drawers, or tidying up my room quite relaxing
  13. Pamper yourself. Whether you're a guy or a girl, everyone loves a good face mask. Invest in some skincare. Not only will you feel a lot better after doing it, but your skin will improve tenfold.
  14. Make a playlist. I have SO many playlists that I like to listen to when im down. If any of you have Spotify, go have a gander, (+) As a sidenote to this, go and listen to your favourite band. Whether they're cheesy and people will judge you, or super hardcore.
  15. Old tv shows are the best when you're down. Saved by the Bell and Friends are on American netflix, I recommend them highly!
  16. Find a place in your town/city that makes you happy. Ive been Cheltenham a year and a half, and still havnt found that place. If I did choose somewhere it would be the waterfall at pittville park.
  17. Spend the day doing nothing. In bed, in your pyjamas. I love doing this, marathoning tv shows and films. its the best!
  18. Scroll through you favourite sites with no agenda. I love doing this with Buzzfeed and Tumblr.
  19. Write some lists. Your favourite things, what makes you happy, what makes you sad. That type of thing.
  20. Remember that theres always tomorrow. Nothing is permanent.

Thats all for now,
hope you enjoyed this.
TTYL,
Kirst x
